Our Services:- Spectral Domain Ocular coherance Tomography (OCT).  This imaging device is like having a CAT or MRI scan of the eye. Allowing us to see, the previously unseen. This technology is available as part of an extented advanced sight examination, and is available to all. We would encourage every one to avail themselves of this technological advance in eyecare. OCT records and compares all your scan data from one visit to the next, therefore, offering you the chance to pick up even the slightest change in ocular health. This is potentially sight saving!  OCT takes an extra 15 to 20 minutes to carry out on top of the 30 minute NHS eye examination, and costs a small extra fee. We have invested in this technology, because we care very much about our patients ocular health. OCT is not part of an ordinary eye test. Sight Examinations:          The detection and correction of visual defects, and sight threatening conditions. Domicillary Home Visits:    Sight examinations at home. New fraud prevention rules mean it can take 3 days to gain approval for the home visit if the health service is paying for the examination. Sports Vision Correction:   Some sports require special visual corrections, achieved either in the testing room or on site under certain lighting conditions ( eg. flood lights)  Spectacle Lenses:             We have the expertise to supply the right corrective lens type, for any given situation / working conditions. Contact Lenses:                 We have the ability to supply any type of corrective contact lens that may be required. From the daily disposable to the custom moulded scleral lens.  Visual Field Assessment:      The assessment of central and peripheral visual fields using computerised technology. this can lead to the detection of retinal or brain problems. (eg tumours that press on the optic nerves). This technology can also be used to test the fitness of a drivers visual fields, as required in some circumstances by the D.V.A. Low Vision Aids:                   Low vision assesment for the use of optical magnifiers and digital magnifiers. Safety Spectacles:               We can provide personal protective eyewear for the individual hobbiest, or on mass for company / factory workers. On site visits can be arranged. Sunspectacles:                   We carry designer and optically corrective sunglasses, for fashion or sports. Assessories:              Many different items can supplied. eg chains, cases, clip-on sun specs., cloths, sprays, Contact lens solutions, medications related to eyes etc. In fact anything eye or spectacle related can be sourced.
